Handy Hint
When cutting the large open link chain, it is easier to use your two sets of pliers and open the link by twisting it where you need to shorten the chain.
Instructions
1. Glue your cameo face to the cameo back and set aside to dry.
2. Cut three lengths of the large open link chain (JF332) measuring 7cm, 30cm, and 32cm.
3. Cut one length of the medium open link chain (JF331) measuring 38cm.
4. Cut one length of the small open link chain (JF330) measuring 44cm.
5. Complete your bead units as follows; slide pearl or glass bi-cone onto a head pin, leaving approximately 7mm, cut off the excess head pin. Using your round nose pliers, turn the head pin into a loop to sit flush with the bead.
6. Create the following bead units (with looped head pins) for the three chain loops as follows:
Small Chain (JF330)
- 3 x 12mm Dark Grey Pearls
- 2 x 10mm Dark Grey Pearls
- 2 x 10mm Dark Grey Pearls and a 4mm Swarovski Crystal on each unit
- 2 x 8mm Silver Grey Pearls
- 2 x 8mm Silver Grey Pearls and a 4mm Swarovski Crystal on each unit
- 1 x 6mm Glass Bi-cone
Medium Chain (JF331)
- 1 x 10mm Dark Grey Pearl
- 1 x 10mm Dark Grey Pearl and a 4mm Swarovski Crystal on the unit
- 3 x 8mm Silver Grey Pearls
- 1 x 8mm Silver Grey Pearl with a 4mm Swarovski Crystal on the unit
- 1 x 6mm Glass bi-cone
- 1 x 4mm Swarovski Crystal
Large Chain (JF332)
- 1 x 10mm Dark Grey Pearls and a 4mm Swarovski Crystal
- 4 x 8mm Silver Grey Pearls
- 2 x 6mm Glass bi-cones
- 2 x 4mm Swarovski Crystal
7. Now join the 30cm length of the large chain (JF332) to the bottom of your cameo back using a jump ring.
8. Join the 7cm length of the large chain (JF332) to the top of your cameo back using a jump ring.
9. Lay your three chains onto a flat surface in the following order; the medium chain (JF331) on top, the large chain (JF332) in the centre, followed by the small chain (JF330) at the bottom. The cameo piece should be placed on the right hand side of your arrangement.
10. Now connect the three lengths of chain on the right hand side (the cameo end) with a jump ring.
11. Take your toggle ring and connect it to the three chains on the left hand side of your arrangement using a jump ring.
12. You are now ready to attach the sets of beads onto the three chains. Attach the beads in a random manner along each chain length using a jump ring.
13. Once you have attached all of your beads to the three chains, connect the final 32cm length of large chain (JF332) to the right hand side of your arrangement, slipping the chain onto the jump ring you used to connect the three chins earlier.
14. Finally connect the toggle bar to this length of chain. Slip the toggle bar into the toggle ring.
Your Classic Cameo Necklace is complete!
