RIBTEX INTERNATIONAL does not collect personal information unless it is necessary for us to carry out our functions and activities as a wholesaler. You may provide us with personal information about yourself or others each time you contact us by phone, fax, letter or email. We need to use this information to provide you with our services and/or products. This information will be used and managed as follows:
Disclosure of personal information and marketing
We will use and disclose your personal information for the primary purposes of our business as a wholesaler or a purpose related to our primary purpose such as marketing, where you consent to such disclosure or such disclosure is permitted by the Act. In addition we use such information to market to you products and services offered by RIBTEX INTERNATIONAL unless you have indicated that you do not wish to obtain such marketing offers or material. Such a request can be made to the General Manager, via the completion of a form or via e-mail. We will in such circumstances only use the personal information provided for the sole purpose of providing the service you have requested.
RIBTEX INTERNATIONAL, may utilise the services of contractors from time to time for the purposes of marketing and undertaking services as promoted by RIBTEX INTERNATIONAL. Your personal information will be provided to these businesses for the purposes of ensuring that our services are marketed to you or to enable a service to be provided to you.
We will not otherwise provide your personal information to a third party without your approval.

The personal information you have provided to us will be kept confidential and secure and will not accessible for unauthorised use, amendment or disclosure. Only RIBTEX INTERNATIONAL staff that have been trained on our privacy policy will have access to such information. We will reasonably attempt to ensure that the personal information we hold about you is accurate, up to date and complete. If you are concerned with the way RIBTEX INTERNATIONAL has handled your personal information, please contact our General Manager with your complaint. We will make available to you a privacy complaint form, which you will be required to complete and return to us. This will ensure the prompt investigation of your complaint. If we have not handled your personal information in an appropriate way we will take steps to remedy your concerns promptly.

What will happen now I have made a compliant?
After receipt of a complaint lodged with the General Manager the General Manager will investigate the allegation.
After the General Manager has conducted an investigation, the General Manager will respond in writing to the individual who has complained with the outcome of the investigation.
Should an interference with an individual's privacy be acknowledged, then the General Manager will take steps to rectify the interference.
RIBTEX INTERNATIONAL may find that an interference with privacy has not occurred and in these circumstances the complainant will be notified of the reason for this conclusion in writing.
The General Manager will respond in writing as soon as it is practical to do so.
Privacy and your complaint
The personal information requested on this form and any personal information collected as part of an investigation into your complaint is to allow RIBTEX INTERNATIONAL to conduct an investigation and make a written response to your complaint. The information is being collected for this purpose and this purpose alone. The information will not be disclosed to any other organization, save as required by law, for the purposes of seeking legal advice, or in the preparation and or defence of any legal claim or action . RIBTEX INTERNATIONAL reserves the right to hold all documents lodged or arising out of or in connection with any complaint of an interference with privacy for the purpose of obtaining legal advice or for demonstrating compliance with the Act, the National Privacy Principles and this Policy.
You are able to gain access to the information contained in this form by contacting the General Manager by completing an access request form. We have sought the minimum detail necessary for us to investigate your complaint and be able to respond to you, failure to provide this information may hamper our attempts to effectively deal with your complaint and may affect the outcome of our investigation or our ability to communicate that outcome to you.
